Alizarin Crimson Synthetic Lake
Ivory Black or Bone Black
Unfortunately PR83 has been discontinued. How long a given manufacturer will be able to offer a paint with the original formulation will depend on how much of this pigment they have in reserves.
Several paint colors in this brand have a fairly poor lightfastness rating. The poor ratings are mildly surprising in light of the brand literature which specifically notes permanence. At the time of this writing, this sub-brand has multiple paints containing pigments such as PY100, which are rarely used in artists oils. PY100 in particular is known to fade and has a lower lightfastness rating than Alizarin Crimson. This color also contains synthetic Alizarin Crimson. Given the brand’s heavy reliance on organic (meaning carbon-containing) colors, doing one’s own lightfastness tests is especially advised.
