Hansa Yellow 10G
Phthalo Green Blue Shade
The yellow pigments are a potential weak point of convenience greens so we advise doing one’s own lightfastness tests. This formulation of bright Permanent Green contains PY3, which may be less lightfast than one would wish.
In 2023, Williamsburg did some interesting new research on mixing whites and how they affect the lightfastness of certain pigments. Permanent Green Light was specifically mentioned. Results "[suggest] that lithopone (in safflower oil) may reduce the lightfastness of certain pigments," and identified Permanent Green Light as one of the colors "particularly prone to fading when mixed with Zinc White". Permanent Green Light was also identified as fugitive with Lead White regardless of binding oil (linseed and safflower were under consideration).
