Williamsburg's Cadmium Lemon is an impressively bright, high saturation lemon yellow. Very few paint brands make a similar color. Other paints in this space with high lightness leaning towards chartreuse are Michael Harding’s Cadmium Yellow Lemon, Rublev’s Cadmium Yellow Light and Maimeri Puro’s Cadmium Yellow Lemon. Williamsburg’s stunner of a color is between the Rublev and Maimeri Puro Cadmium Lemon. Maimeri Puro and Schmincke Norma’s Cadmium Lemon are two similar colors with the Puro being a bit closer. Williamsburg’s Cadmium Yellow Lemon is a great color that we’d recommend. When the brand literature says greenish, bear in mind this color would be identified as a yellow. As far as yellows go it is pretty much the essence of lemon- a top tier paint.
