Cadmium Red
Extremely short in consistency but it does spread. While not as stiff as some Gamblin colors (this one is more ribbony when pulled up with a palette knife) it does have a stiffness to it. The color dries matte- lightish or claylike when dried. It has high chroma, a bright red-orange.
A previous description read, ”Cadmium Red Light is a bright orange with hints of red whose tint is an excellent color for painting light. This red can create rays of light in dark landscapes or portraits.“ -Gamblin Oils. The color temperature is classified as warm.
