
It appears the manufacturer did not list the pigment(s) for this paint.
There has long been debate over the brightest white in oil painting. Some say that Permalba White is indeed the whitest white, however we are not totally confident of that. It has been rumored this paint contained small amounts of Ultramarine Blue for a cooling effect or perhaps some other undisclosed process or ingredient. This color does include zinc, so that may be relevant to how it is used as well.
It is unclear whether the Martin/F Weber company is still in business. In May of 2023, the Sanden portrait website mentioned they had gone out of business. However at least at the time of this writing, Permalba white appears to be available.
