Unfortunately PR83 has been discontinued. How long a given manufacturer will be able to offer a paint with the original formulation will depend on how much of this pigment they have in reserves.
Several paint colors in this brand have a fairly poor lightfastness rating. The poor ratings are mildly surprising in light of the brand literature which specifically notes permanence. This pigment blend contains a synthetic Alizarin Crimson. Given the brand’s heavy reliance on organic (meaning carbon-containing) colors, doing one’s own lightfastness tests is advised.
