Aglow with chroma, this is an exceptional cadmium orange in this color space. In many ways this color is similar to Old Holland’s Cadmium Yellow Orange. The main difference is the consistency— the Old Holland has the stiffness expected with Old Holland where Vasari is soft and flowing. The two paints look very similar when mixed with a bit of Oleogel in a glaze. Just out of the tube Vasari’s masstone is higher chroma. Vasari’s Cadmium Orange has slightly cooler tints though in comparison with Old Holland two are very similar. Overall a great color for high chroma, good tinting strength, and buttery consistency.
