This is a bright lively red orange convenience mixture containing PR255. This pleasant blend approximates Cadmium Red in some respects. This blend has different mixing properties as well as different transparency than Cadmium Red. Cheerful in tints, it is fairly high chroma. If higher chroma red tints desired, use Schmincke Mussini’s PR242 Brilliant Scarlet. If more chromatic oranger tints are desired, try a paint with a single pigment PO73.
