Cadmium Red Medium (Vermilioned) is an absolute stunner. This paint has been justly praised over the years and it makes us wonder how Old Holland does it. We were struck by the super high chroma, and it occupies a special niche in the color space among high end cadmiums. The texture is almost plastic, absolutely smooth, and has incredible covering power. Mixed with Williamsburg white it becomes buttery, and on its own it is not quite self leveling— it will hold the mark of a palette knife. This is a power paint that makes a statement.
