Zecchi Historic Pigments- List 1 Azzurro Della Magna Scuro

This is what the entry from the Zecchi site looks like to help in ordering: “ (AZZURRO DELLA MAGNA scuro) - Dark Azurite (Coarse Grinding) .” Here is our best guess at the equivalent in Italian. This is from the Italian portion of the site: “ (AZZURRO DELLA MAGNA scuro) - AZZURRITE scura (Macin. Grossa).”

We found a color swatch for this pigment from a scholarly article which did not distinguish between the different types of Azurite that Zecchi offers. It was listed as Zecchi’s Azurite and the hex code we sampled was a bit more of a turquoise shade (#328BA7). However based on pictures from the Zecchi shop, it could be a bit more of a true blue, which is the swatch shown here. Zecchi also sells a Medium variety with smaller particles.
