Old Holland’s Cadmium Orange has long been famed among painters as the choice for the reddest of the orange cadmium colors. If one wants to go redder, the next stop is Williamsburg Cadmium Red Light, the orangest of the Cadmium Red Lights. On the other side of Old Holland Cadmium Orange is Rublev’s Cadmium Orange, which is very loose in consistency. The Old Holland Cadmium Orange is stiffer in consistency (with Old Holland creaminess) and very highly pigmented. Famed for its useful, unique hue and high tinting strength, this red-orange color is outstanding.
