Viridian
Michael Harding’s Viridian is one of the warmer (greener as opposed to bluer) true viridians that we tested. Among premium brands this paint had good tinting strength, though it is not an exceptionally strong tinter for a premium version (in comparison to M Graham, Rembrandt, Old Holland, and Williamsburg). Many viridians we encountered had bubbles, and this was most notable in the Michael Harding version. This paint also has a bit of a waxy quality. Even so it is a nice paint. The paint was a bit thinner and had a little streaking under the palette knife. However in hue, this was the warmest viridian we tried, and that bit of warmth may be a helpful quality depending on the application.
