A previous description: ”Naples Yellow Hue is a pale, opaque earthy yellow that brightens portraits or landscapes with its pale yellow tint.“ -Gamblin Oils. It appears that previously this color has perhaps undergone some formulation changes. An earlier Gamblin brochure (downloaded in 2023) listed PY43 PY37 (Cadmium Yellow) PW6 and PW4 as pigments. The cadmium appears to have been substituted by 2024 for PY75. They classify this color as warm.
