Permanent Pink FL
This color really does offer a different warmer (toward orange) hue note than other crimsons, specifically most formulations of PR177. An enjoyable color with a piquancy in tints and blends, we also recommend doing LF testing as it is also listed as being a Napthol AS.
In 2015, Golden tested PR187. While this color has not been tested by the ASTM, their tests at that time indicated an equivalent LF of ASTM I. In 2023, Golden published a vital series of tests on their colors and how they performed in mixes with various white paints. Carl’s Crimson was only mentioned sparingly in terms of dilute mixtures, and with both Titanium White and Lead white it performed well.
