Along with Stil de Grain, this paint has a coarse texture with large particles- this means very gritty! We’d consider this a specialty color as it is capable of effects that are unusual and hard to find in oil paints and at the same time will not be suited to everyone. The charm and beauty of its transparency is a contrast to the low-lightness areas where this paint is left opaque. This is one of those paints that really responds to the peaks a troughs created by a brush. Something about the combination evokes stained glass windows, even though this is an earth tone.
