Quinacridone Violet / Rose (this pigment can be violet or magenta)
M. Graham's Quinacridone Violet is a chromatic, vivid variety of PV19 in the violet shade. The consistency of this gemtone color is very loose. This paint retained its reddish violet warmth in tints moreso than other PV19 violets (compared with Old Holland Scheveningen Violet and Vasari Ruby Violet). Bound in walnut oil this color makes gorgeous glazes ranging from sparkling plum to a high chroma red purple. M Graham’s Quinacridone Violet has a slight native semi-gloss when dried, though this may abate as drying continues. In mixes with Williamsburg Titanium white this paint was extra smooth and buttery and had high tinting strength.
