Hello, Pyrrole Scarlet!

Hello, Pyrrole Scarlet!

Meet the red-orange Pyrrole that you may not have heard about.

This color is just a bit oranger than classic Pyrrole Red, and we especially love Pyrrole Scarlet in tints. In masstone, it is blazingly hot.

Like Pyrrole Red, the Scarlet version also hails from the automotive world. This high-performance color has a few advantages for specific painting applications -- such as bright, saturated warm pinks.

Pyrrole Scarlet is PR255 on the left, whereas the regular Pyrrole Red, PR254, is on the right.

We took a deep dive on this little-known pigment in our latest article. There you'll find much more information on whether this color may be right for your palette!

Happy Painting!
