A rarely used Hansa Yellow. It is difficult to find information about Hansa Yellow 5G (PY5). Artiscreation lists it as a bright greenish yellow. We have heard that in the 5G part, the G stands for green. Cameo contains a faint mention of PY5 in its list of names for Hansa Yellows.

Previously though to be Lower Concern, however it may be hazardous than once thought.
While acute toxicity is thought to be low, fellow azo pigments PY1 and PY3 are “related to cancer-causing dyes.” May metabolize to harmful substances 2-nitroaniline and aniline and may cause methemoglobinemia. For more, refer to Monona Rossol's research here for more information.
