Pigment numbers somewhat unclear
may also be a typo for PR255
There is very little information available about this rare pigment, though a PR225 seems to exist, and a bit of confusion as well. It may be an area where typos abound, as it could sometimes be a typo for PR255.
We were able to find PR225 listed in a line of colors from Pegasus art supplies, which state that they acquire their pigments from Old Holland. The color listed as PR225 is called Blood Red Lake, and is listed as transparent.
As a technical footnote, there is a lack of clarity around this color. Artiscreation has a listing for PR226 for Pyrathathone red but nothing listed for PR225 (only PR226). Artistpigments.org lists PR225 as a pyrathathone red as well. The CI number that they list for this color may lead somewhere else but we are not sure. At the time of this writing they list the CI as 77496, but it appears that code may belong to Pigment Yellow 119 (PY119).
Guerra sells a Pyranthrone Red Medium listed as PR226 (Polycarbocyclic Anthraquinone), as well as a Pyranthrone Red Deep, PR216.
