A terrific pigment that can be thought of as brighter than yellow ochre. From another angle, this opaque color is a viable substitute if looking for a single-pigment replacement for certain (but not all) kinds of Naples Yellow Genuine. This carmel-toned brown is a great addition to a palette. It is also called Chrome Antimony Titanium Buff Rutile and has a bit of whiteness/opaqueness/reflectivity in its overall look. Artiscreation has a lot more detail on health and safety. Despite its relative good marks, it does contain Chrome, Antimony, and Titanium, so Monona Rossol's book, The Artist's Guide to Health and Safety has information on working with pigments that contain each of those metals.
