Dyer's Mulberry
Yellow Wood
A natural yellow dye also known as Old Fustic, which offers a range of colors depending on the preparation.
Fustic is made from dyer's mulberry, Chlorophora tinctoria or Maclura tinctoria.
CAMEO notes that different colors may be obtained in combination with various substances. "Dye colors can range from a pale yellow with alum to a dark tan with copper." They mention that, "Fustic contains the yellow flavonol colorant morin," so see also NY8.
