Sap Green (Historical Color)

NG2

Pigment Description

A historical pigment which inspired one of the most popular convenience blends on the market. Genuine Sap Green, also known as Natural Green 2, is made from the extract of ripe Buckthorn Berries. The latin name for the plant is Rhamnus catharticus.

While this pigment is charming it is very fugitive.

These days, genuine Sap Green is rarely found in paints. Today the name Sap Green is the popular name for a wide array of convenience blends. While many of them are warm or yellow-green transparent green blends, not every blend fits that description.
