Sepia (Genuine Historical Pigment)

NBr9

Pigment Description

A famous transparent brownish black- so famous that the name Sepia has become a color word in English which is no longer necessarily connected to the idea of ink from a sea creature. We have sepia-tone photographs and digital photo filters inspired by this historical tone. Genuine sepia is made from the ink of the cuttlefish, which Artiscreation lists as Sepia Officinalis. The ink is not lightfast.
